Inner Demons

It's been said that the greatest trick the Devil ever pulled was convincing the world that he doesn't exist.

I hate to break it to you but he wasn't the only one.

I could feed you some crap about there being more to this world, about the shadows being deeper and darker than you realize. Hell, I could tell you that the things that go "bump" in the night really do exist and they're after you.

But seeing is believing, friend. And you've already seen something, haven't you? Why else would you look me up? It can't be my sparkling personality.

I'll let you in on the world's best kept secret.

Vampires are real. And I'm not talking about the neutered sparkly pretty boys Hollywood feeds twelve-year old girls. No, I'm talking about undead, bloodsucking demi-gods who play by their own rules and don't give the first damn about you or me.

It's true they need human blood but they need something else even more: power.

There's a war going on. And I'm not talking about some B.S. war on drugs or terror. No. These monsters are gearing up for something big, something bloody, and we'll be lucky if there's a world left standing when they're done.

You're probably asking who'd be crazy enough to take on vampires, right? Well, that's the real kicker. They aren't the only lost and damned walking the Earth. Werewolves, ghosts, witches, demons, hell, even fairies are real and spoiling for a fight.

We're looking at the end of a supernatural Cold War. Negotiations are breaking down and tempers are flaring up.

It doesn't matter how I know all of this. What matters is what you do next. Are you going to pretend you didn't see whatever messed you up enough to look me up? Or are you going take that next big step into the unknown?

Me, I took the second option. They didn't give me a choice. They took everything and everyone from me. I'd say I was lucky to be alive but the nightmares... Believe me when I say there are some things worse than being dead.
